Cozy California cabin is one of Airbnb’s most in-demand listings. Where is it?
Looking for a vacation home? Airbnb users have been eyeing this California home more than any other listing on Airbnb in the state.
Airbnb went in search of the ”most wishlisted listings” across the United States in 2026, identifying the top properties in each state.
“These remarkable stays represent a growing demand for travel experiences that go beyond the ordinary,” the vacation rental platform said in an April 9 article, offering “a unique experience for every type of adventurer.”
This California property topped travelers’ wish lists in 2026:
What is the most wishlisted Airbnb listing in California?
“In the West, the most wishlisted stays share a common thread: the desire to unplug,” Airbnb said.
In California, the Airbnb listing that landed on the most wish lists in 2026 was an A-frame cabin at Lake Arrowhead.
The three-story house can fit eight guests, with three bedrooms, six beds and three bathrooms.
Airbnb said the 2,500-square-foot cabin landed in the “top 10% of homes” on the platform, based on ratings, reviews and reliability.
With more than 100 reviews, the cabin has an average rating of 4.98 stars out of 5.
“As you step inside, you are greeted by the soaring 20-foot wall of glass windows and the expansive open-beam great room,” the Airbnb listing said. “The living room, dining area and chef’s kitchen seamlessly blend together, creating an ideal space for families to gather.”
Outside is a deck with a barbecue grill and firepit.
According to the listing, the home offers lake access and “epic mountain views,” blending “cozy vintage charm with upscale amenities.”
Amenities include central heating, air conditioning and high-speed WiFi, plus parking for three cars.
Why do reviewers say about Lake Arrowhead cabin?
“From the moment we arrived, we were in awe,” one Airbnb guest, Alma, said. “The cabin was exactly as described — if not better. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice.”
“Waking up each morning to the peaceful, breathtaking views and pure tranquility was something we will never forget,” the reviewer wrote.
The property offers plenty of entertainment options, ranging from board games, puzzles and children’s toys to a pool table, foosball and a retro video game arcade.
The family-friendly property comes with two Pack n’ Plays, two high chairs, an infant bathtub and more.
“There were ample toys and books for the kids to stay entertained,” another Airbnb guest, Ani, wrote in a review. “The baby gates and night lights were great to ensure nighttime safety.”
A seven-night stay at the Lake Arrowhead home starts at more than $3,000.
What are the best Airbnb stays in the West?
Airbnb highlighted listings in the Northeast, Midwest, South and West regions.
In the West, “Travelers are trading city noise for A-frames perched near national parks, a quirky desert dome, a western saloon with mountain views and off-grid retreats where going analog is effortless,” Airbnb said.
For instance, the most wishlisted home in Alaska is a two-bedroom riverfront A-frame cabin in Palmer.
“Boasting south-facing views over the water, you will be watching Alaska’s world class sunsets from the hot tub on the deck while enjoying the sounds of the river below,” the listing said.
The home has an average Airbnb rating of 4.98 stars.
“The hot tub was wonderful. The bed that I slept in was super comfy!” Airbnb reviewer Nick wrote, adding that vacations should “watch out for the neighborhood moose.”
