Gambler hits ‘life-changing’ jackpot with $2 side bet at Sacramento-area casino
A lucky Cache Creek Casino Resort gambler near Sacramento hit a “life-changing” Pai Gow jackpot with a $2 side bet, officials said.
The North Highlands resident hit the $447,810 progressive jackpot with a seven-card straight flush on a $2 side bet, the casino said in a news release Friday.
“Moments like this are exactly why we say winners are made here,” said Kari Stout-Smith, general manager and chief operating officer of Cache Creek Casino Resort.

Cache Creek Casino Resort, owned by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, is about a 45-mile drive northwest from Sacramento, near Esparto. The casino, opened in 2004, features more than 2,700 slot machines and 120 table games.
