Player hits ‘massive’ poker jackpot on $5 bet at Hard Rock Casino near Sacramento

A gambler at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino near Sacramento hit a $290,112 jackpot on a $5 bet in a table game, casino officials reported.

The player hit the progressive jackpot on Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em on Saturday, Dec. 27, the resort said in a Dec. 31 news release.

The gambler hit a royal flush on the flop in the poker game.

“Great win,” read one comment on the casino’s Facebook post.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is at 3317 Forty Mile Road in Wheatland, about a 35-mile drive north from downtown Sacramento.
