Tito Double P sells out Save Mart Center his first time in Fresno

Fresno received Mexican singer Tito Double P with a sold-out concert at the Save Mart Center on Friday night. His ¡Ay Mamá! Tour is the Mexican star’s first tour in the United States.

Jesús Roberto Laija García, known professionally as Tito Double P, performed for the first time at the Save Mart Center in front of more than 11,000 fans. The Mexican rapper, singer, and songwriter is considered one of the new faces of the regional Mexican music genre.

Concertgoers shouted “Tito, Tito, Tito” throughout the 1 hour and 30 minutes show that included many tequila shots, a mini bar on stage with a Mexican flag and little LaBubu dolls. The LaBubu dolls are part of a trend in which fans attempt to throw Labubu dolls to the singer while he’s on stage during his concerts.

If you didn’t know, Tito Double P draws his name from his cousin and fellow musician Peso Pluma’s Double P record label, and he has written several songs in his discography, including Peso Pluma’s hit ‘El Belicon.”

Tito, who was born in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, and raised in Culiacán, released his debut studio album, “Incómodo,” last August, which debuted at No. 20 on the US Billboard 200. The album included guest appearances by high-profile artists such as Junior H, Gabito Ballesteros, and Peso Pluma.

Influenced by artists such as Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Alfredo Olivas, and Los Canelos de Durango, Tito Double P developed a distinct sound described as “accelerated warfare,” fusing traditional wind instruments with a vibrant, modern edge.

He has surpassed 24.8 million monthly Spotify listeners and achieved a top-40 debut on Spotify’s Daily Top Artists list, climbing to No. 16.

Tito teased fans with the promise that he will return to Fresno later this year and possibly bring with him his cousin Peso Pluma. Tito will take his ¡Ay Mamá! Tour to other cities including Reno, Las Vegas and Chicago.
