A group of sea creatures were spotted off the coast of California, officials said.

On Dec. 15, onlookers saw the “incredible” sight of four orcas known as CA39As, according to a Facebook post by the Monterey Bay Whale Watch.

The mama killer whale was with her three babies as they traveled to the northwest, officials said.

The group was playing with birds as they were spotted, the whale watching company said.

Killer whales are the sea’s top predator and “are mostly black on top with white undersides,” according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

They rely on underwater sound to feed and communicate with others, according to the NOAA.

Watchers also got the chance to see gray whales during their trip, the whale watching group said.

Monterey is about a 120-mile drive southwest of San Francisco.
