Want to get into CSU after community college? This new California program could help
California State University is rolling out a transfer program that will ensure eligible first-time community college students secure a spot at a CSU campus — and applications open this summer.
The Transfer Success Pathways program was implemented to “address potential equity issues as a result to COVID-19,” and to improve transfer rates, according to a California State University’s news release.
Students who faced academic or financial hardships, and as a result were not able to attend a CSU in the 2023 school year, are encouraged to apply.
“The Transfer Success Pathway is the CSU’s promise and commitment to those who don’t take a direct route to a four-year degree, particularly those who face academic, geographic or financial barriers. We want you to know that the CSU counts you in, not out,” said April Grommo, CSU’s assistant vice chancellor of strategic enrollment management in a news release in March.
