Firefighters rescued a 68-year-old woman from a car that plunged 300 feet down a cliff near Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California firefighters reported.

A fire helicopter hoisted the woman to safety at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, Los Angeles firefighters said in an alert.

The woman was conscious and alert when park rangers found her after the car went off the road on West Observatory Drive near Mt. Hollywood Drive, KTLA reported.

No further information on the crash or the woman’s medical condition was available, firefighters said.
