California dogs navigate record-breaking snow
Record-breaking snow in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains made some roads in the state impassable on Monday, December 27.
Yet more snow was sweeping across California’s Sierra Nevada mountains and western Nevada on Tuesday morning, the NWS said. According to the UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab, it was a record month for snow, with 202 inches so far in December.
Heavy snow shut down Northern California highways and ski resorts and left residents snowed in.

More footage, uploaded to Instagram by Ryland River Zweifel, shows two dogs enjoying being submerged in the snow on December 27, in South Lake Tahoe, California.
