Check out this $500 million California home. It could be America’s most expensive

A mammoth house with 18 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, a 20-car garage and at least two swimming pools could be yours, but it’s going to set you back a little.

Th 100,000-square-foot home in Bel Air, California, could soon be listed for $500 million, Fox Business reported. That price tag makes it among the most expensive home in America. To put its size in perspective, a football field, including the end zones, measures 57,600 square feet.

The house’s developer, Skyline Development, says it’snicknamed The One and sits on about 4 acres and offers “views from downtown to ocean.” It features a game room, 24-seat theater, gym, library and a spa with a steam room and hot tub.

If that’s not enough, there’s also a spacious wine cellar, nightclub, billiards room, workshop and a three-bedroom guest house that has its own spa and pool, according to the developer.

““Let’s say you’re a super-wealthy single dude who just sold your company,” developer Nile Niami told the New York Times in 2017 while giving a tour of the property. “You’ve just moved to L.A. and you don’t know anybody, so you hire someone to fill your house with partyers. You want everyone to know who you are, but you don’t want to talk to anybody. So you go sit in your V.I.P. room.”

Niami has been working on the house for seven years, The Sun reported, and he’s ready to “test the market” with the price tag.

If the house sells near asking price, it would crush the record for the most expensive home sold in the country. The current most expensive home is a $238 million penthouse in Manhattan, The Sun reported.

In Los Angeles County, the home price record is far less than The One’s asking price. The mansion from “The Beverly Hillbillies” TV show sold for $150 million, the Los Angeles Times reported.

“When the house was started, I had no basis to ask $500 million,” Niami told The Sun. “Now there are so many triple-digit sales in LA and the world that the asking price is not unreasonable any more.”
