Users of Tribune iPhone app affected by iOS 7 update
Dear iPhone users:
If you haven't updated to iOS 7.0.3, your Tribune app will function as it always had.
However, Apple released a minor update to iOS 7 for iPhones that is temporarily incompatible with our app. If you've installed the update, you'll find that our app either crashes or locks up at the splash screen.
The update for iOS 7 was not made available to developers ahead of its release, which meant that the vendor for The Tribune's app couldn't detect a bug in the code. Our vendor has fixed the bug and is releasing the app update, which is compatible with iOS 7.0.3, to the Apple app store on Thursday.
Because Apple reviews all updates, we might not have our fix in the store for a few days. We apologize for the malfunction and the delay.
In the meantime, you can read The Tribune's news articles on your phone by going to m.sanluisobispo.com. You also can get updates by following us on Twitter and liking us on Facebook.
