Tablas Creek Vineyard named Winery of the Year by The Daily Meal
Citing its industry leadership, stylistic influence and consistent quality, The Daily Meal has named Tablas Creek Vineyard of Paso Robles its 2015 Winery of the Year.
The Daily Meal, a website that covers food and drink, praised the winery’s “ever increasing range of extraordinary wines” and noted its biodynamic farming and other sustainable agricultural practices as well as its role in lobbying for the region’s distinct American Viticultural Areas.
The Daily Meal said it created the award to spotlight one wine producer from anywhere in the world that produces consistently fine wines and serves as an innovator or inspiration in the world of wine.
Jason Haas, partner and general manager at Tablas Creek Vineyard, said they were honored to receive the award.
“This recognition, which is voted on by The Daily Meal’s wide range of contributors — from wine writers to sommeliers, chefs and restaurateurs — is particularly meaningful because the other finalists include some of the international wine communities’ most iconic wineries,” he said.
Located at 9339 Adelaida Road, Tablas Creek Vineyard is owned by Robert Haas and his sons, Jason and Danny, in partnership with the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel. It produces about 25,000 cases of wine annually.
In February, Jason Haas was named the 2015 Paso Robles Wine Industry Person of the Year, and in July, Tablas Creek Vineyard took the top spot on The Daily Meal’s List of 101 Best Wineries in America for 2015.
