DiBuduo & DeFendis hires new agent at SLO office

California insurance firm DiBuduo & DeFendis has hired Matthew Laird to focus on crop, farm and ranch, winery, and manufacturing and technology risks at its San Luis Obispo office.

Laird has eight years of experience working as a claims adjuster and underwriter at other firms, including Fortune 500 companies underwriting complex insurance programs, according to a company news release. DiBuduo & DeFendis co-owner Matt DeFendis noted that Laird’s experience in crop insurance and other areas would make him an asset to the company.

DiBuduo & Defendis Insurance, founded in Fresno in 1960, is one of the state’s largest independent insurance agencies.
