Central Coast Medical Association appoints executive director

Dana Goba has been appointed executive director of the Central Coast Medical Association, which was formed through the merger of the Santa Barbara Medical Society and the San Luis Obispo County Medical Association.

The Central Coast Medical Association is a professional association of physicians in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties that promotes quality health care and provides a referral service to the public, according to a news release.

Goba has more than 13 years of nonprofit experience in Santa Barbara County, according to the release. She was the community health administrator for Cottage Health and managed community benefit efforts, including grants, health fairs and outreach.
