Atascadero’s Holiday Inn Express & Suites wins award

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites of Atascadero has won the InterContinental Hotels Group 2015 Torchbearer Award, the company's most prestigious award, for a second time, according to a news release.

The Atascadero hotel was one of 24 properties chosen from the InterContinental Hotels Group system of more than 2,300 hotels to receive the Torchbearer award within its brand in the Americas (Canada, U.S. and Latin America), according to the release.

The Torchbearer trophy honors the top one percent of hotels that achieve the highest levels of excellence in all aspects of operation — from quality and product to customer satisfaction, the company said. Holiday Inn Express & Suites of Atascadero was recognized with the same award in 2011.
