Hearst Castle nominated in USA Today travel contest

Hearst Castle has been nominated for a 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest held by national newspaper USA Today.

Each week USA Today asks readers to help pick the 10 best in a single category, ranging from food and lodging to things to do. USA Today’s travel experts select the 20 top nominees and the public votes on the final selections for this year, according to its website.

Hearst Castle is a contender for Best Historic Home Tour against 19 other nominees.

Votes can be cast once a day at www.10best.com. Voting ends on Dec. 21; winners will be announced Dec. 25.
