The fifth annual Garagiste Festival will be held Thursday through Saturday in the North County.
The event begins with a five-course winemaker dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at The Carlton Hotel in Atascadero. An “Out-of-Towners” winemaker mixer will be from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday at Broken Earth Winery in Paso Robles, featuring rare and reserve wines from local wineries and others around the state. A winemaker panel and tasting seminars will be held at the Paso Robles Event Center on Saturday, followed by a grand tasting and after-party.
The first Cal Poly Garagiste Festival Scholarship Fund students will be announced. The nonprofit festival supports Cal Poly Wine and Viticulture department. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.garagistefestival.com/. For more information call 769-8211.
