The Vancouver-based yoga and dancewear retailer has signed a one-year lease for 1,400 square feet at 547 Marsh St., according to Gail Johnson, who co-owns the building with Victoria Wood.
Several years ago, that location housed Johnson Gallery and Framing Studio, and it will continue to feature local art on its walls. The store opening will coincide with Art After Dark this Friday and feature local artist Adrienne Allebe.
The showroom, open Fridays through Sundays, will be staffed by four employees, according to showroom manager Holly Stevenson.
“We love the energy they are bringing into the space,” said Johnson, who formerly ran Johnson Art Gallery.
A Facebook post about this weekend’s grand opening listed its hours as 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
No further details about Lululemon’s store could be learned Monday.
The company has more than 200 stores worldwide and reported an estimated annual revenue of $1.37 billion in 2013, according to The Wall Street Journal's Market Watch.
