Eberle Winery hires new winemaker

Eberle Winery of Paso Robles has hired Chris Eberle as its new winemaker. Eberle, no relation to the winery owners, replaces Ben Mayo.

Chris Eberle acted as assistant winemaker at the winery from 2006 to 2009. He graduated from Cal Poly with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and has an enology certificate from Washington State University at Pullman. Most recently, Chris Eberle was working as assistant winemaker at Howard Park in Australia.

In addition, Nick Compton, who has been with Eberle Winery for more than two years, was promoted to assistant winemaker.
