Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. in Arroyo Grande is celebrating its grand opening this weekend.

The company started in November 2010 and now has five taprooms, with another in Westlake Village set to open in August.

Figueroa Mountain Brewery's soft opening on July 1 drew a line of customers that stretched out the door, said brand director Kady Fleckenstein.

The brewpub at 1462 E. Grand Ave. — formerly home to Applebee’s — will include a full restaurant as well as a 15-barrel brewhouse inside the 8,000-square-foot facility. There are windows looking into the brewhouse so that restaurant-goers can watch the brewers at work.

Fleckenstein, who declined to disclose investments, said the brewpub has employed four full-time staff members and 83 part-time staff members.

The location serves gastropub fare and has up to 20 beers on tap, many of which are brewed inside the building. Beer cocktails and beer floats created by the in-house mixologist are also offered.
