Volvo XC60's July Lease Deals Will Tempt You Out of an X3
The 2026 Volvo XC60 in a Nutshell
For the longest time, the 200 Series held the title of Volvo's best-selling model. But last year, the iconic 240 was overtaken by the XC60 with over 2.7 million sold in less than 20 years. The XC60 also achieved that best-seller status faster than the 240, which is no mean feat.
We're now in the second-generation XC60, and it made its world premiere way back in 2017 for the 2018 model year. Since then, it has received a couple of facelifts, the first one being for 2022 and another one for 2026. This year's update brings in a whole host of welcome changes to keep it bang up to date against newer competition.
2026 Volvo XC60 Lease Deals for July
Volvo has several deals for the XC60 this month, and the rates make it one of the least expensive luxury compact crossovers to lease. It starts at $499 for 36 months with $6,309 due at signing for the Core model. Move up to the Plus, and it's $529 for 36 months with $6,329 due at signing. The Ultra is $579 for 36 months with $6,939 due at signing, and the Ultra Black Edition is $589 per month with $7,089 due at signing. The plug-in hybrids are also available with lease promos.
The least expensive plug-in hybrid model to lease is the Core PHEV at $579 for 36 months, with $5,909 due at signing; the Plus PHEV is $589 per month, with $6,279 due at signing. Move up to the Ultra PHEV, and that one goes for $649 per month with $6,509 due at signing, while the Black Edition version is $659 per month with $6,629 due at signing. Even the Polestar Engineered model can be leased for $769 per month with $7,689 due at signing.
There is a catch, though: mileage is limited to 7,500 per year, and it's $0.25 per mile exceeded. These offers are valid until July 31, 2026.
2026 Volvo XC60 Highlights
For the gas-powered models, prices for the 2026 XC60 range from $51,095 to $62,195, with four trims to choose from: Core, Plus, Ultra, and Ultra Black Edition. As for the plug-in hybrids, it's also Core, Plus, Ultra, and Ultra Black Edition, but also with the addition of the Polestar Engineered model. Prices for the XC60 PHEV start at $62,545 to $81,195.
For 2026, exterior changes include a new grille with a criss-cross design, a darker tint around the rear taillights, additional color options, and new wheel designs. As for the interior, the 9-inch touchscreen has been replaced by a larger 11.2-inch unit. The new screen also means new software running on an Android-based system with Google Assistant and Google Maps built in. Cabin material options have been revised, and the center console has been enlarged.
For powertrains, the pure combustion models are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 247 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. As for the plug-in hybrid models, it's the same engine mated to a single motor, boosting output to 455 hp and 523 lb-ft. Another update is due for the 2028 model year.
Final Thoughts
It's far from the youngest compact luxury crossover in the market, but the Volvo XC60 still has a lot going for it. We already know that it's one of the safest cars around, which is what we expect from any car made by the Swedish automaker. The 2026 update did wonders for the popular Swede by making it look even better than ever, along with useful tech updates that enhance usability. As it is, the standard combustion models are good, but the plug-in hybrids make them into highly effective sleepers that still offer reasonable value.
