Get ready, bargain shoppers: San Luis Obispo County’s newest Grocery Outlet Bargain Market is expected to open this week.

According to a news release sent Monday, the grocery store will open its new location in Nipomo on Thursday

Grocery Outlet is the “nation’s fastest-growing extreme-value grocery retailer,” offering discounted prices on a number of name-brand items, according to the release.

The chain has more than 400 locations throughout the United States — including supermarkets in Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Los Osos and San Luis Obispo — and each is owned and operated locally.

The Nipomo store’s operator is Nesrine Rabia, according to the release

Grocery Outlet will hold a grand opening celebration on Thursday starting at 7 a.m.

The event will include gift cards for the first 100 shoppers in line — with values ranging between $5 and $500 — as well as free reusable bags for all customers and a raffle. The store is also making a $1,000 donation made to the Nipomo Food Basket.

The new Grocery Outlet location is located in the shopping center being built off Frontage Road in Nipomo. Other tenants include Tractor Supply, which is expected to open in the coming days, and Wendy’s, which has not announced an opening date.

Dutch Bros Coffee also recently opened in the same area.

Grocery Outlet will be open at 181 S. Frontage Road seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
