Need flexible office space? This SLO County city is launching a new coworking location
A new coworking space is opening in Grover Beach that will allow small businesses and workers more office flexibility.
The South County Chambers of Commerce is opening the new space, located at 391 Front St., in partnership with the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the city of Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo County.
“Our mission is to support local economic development, especially in terms of helping diversify our regional economy,” Judy Mahan, Cal Poly CIE and SBDC economic development director, said in the news release. “We have the resources in our county to help launch and successfully grow tech startups in the aerospace and aeronautics industry. Creating a hub in Grover Beach, close to Vandenberg Space Force Base, solidifies the ties between all the stakeholders eager to execute on the mission.”
The space already has a commitment to house an aerospace and aeronautics incubator program from the location as well, according to the release.
The Chamber plans to have its first private office rentals ready by March 1 and will have a formal grand opening by May once the space is complete, according to the release.
The office spaces are available to lease through the Chamber. It will feature private offices, open desk seating, high-speed fiber optic internet service and a conference room with audio-visual capabilities, according to the release.
Membership rates will range from $175 to $900 per month.
Free business workshops and programs will also be offered at the location.
The Chamber is compiling a list of individuals or businesses interested in using the space. For questions and interest, email office@southcountychambers.com or call 805-489-1488.
