Dollar Tree is expanding its operations in San Luis Obispo, with the 5,800-square-foot store at 3870 Broad Street relocating to a 10,000-square-foot location at The Village at Broad Street.
The new store at 2238 Broad Street is scheduled to open February 2018, according to spokeswoman Kayleigh Painter.
Painter said the number of full-time and part-time employees on staff varies by store and need, but that “a store of this size typically employs 12 to 20 associates.”
Painter declined to discuss the store’s profitability or cost of the new location, but said the company plans to continue expansion, with 350 stores opened nationwide in 2017.
