Former Cal Poly player Chicoine to play for US in World Championship of American Football

Former Cal Poly free safety Kenny Chicoine on Thursday was selected to play for Team USA this summer in the World Championship of American Football in Kawasaki, Japan.

The six-country tournament, in its third year of existence, opens July 7 with the Americans facing Germany in pool play.

Chicoine is Cal Poly's all-time interceptions leader with 20 picks from 2003-06. He had two interceptions in the season finale against Savannah State.
