Gene Autry Trail reopened at the wash after closure in Palm Springs

North Gene Autry Trail was reopened at the wash Wednesday, July 1, following a multiday closure due to blowing sand and strong winds.

The Palm Springs Police Department announced the road's reopening between East Via Escuela and Interstate 10 just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The road had been closed since early Sunday, June 28.
