UPDATED: Santa Paula man identified as victim of solo-vehicle crash

A Santa Paula man died after a single-vehicle collision in Santa Paula on June 17.

Louis Aguilar Hernandez, 38, died of multiple blunt force injuries and his death was ruled an accident, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.

Officers with the Santa Paula Police Department were dispatched to the crash near the intersection of Telegraph and Sheppard roads around 1:25 p.m., said police Chief Don Aguilar.

Police found that a vehicle had crashed, and the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, Aguilar said.

The police department had not provided additional details about the crash as of 4 p.m. on June 18.
