Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo was closed Saturday due to an unexpected power outage.

The 135-acre theme park said the outage was being resolved but the park would remain closed Saturday, in a social media post just before 8 a.m. The park said it would provide an update on Sunday’s operation when available.

The outage was reported at 2:17 a.m., according to PG&E, which said its crews found “third-party damage” upon inspection.

Crews were still working to restore power around 11 a.m. and the utility estimated Saturday that power would be restored by 8 p.m.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom said tickets for Saturday’s admission would be valid on another day during the 2026 season.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” Six Flags’ management wrote in the social media post.
