Park-goers can help shape future plans for Lake Perris
Park-goers and other members of the public can share ideas for improvements for recreation including camping, park management, public safety and more for the Lake Perris State Recreation Area (SRA.)
A public workshop and open house is planned for the park’s general plan that is being developed.
The event, hosted by California State Parks, is being held Monday, June 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lakeside Pavilion, 17801 Lake Perris Dr. Folks are invited to stop by at any time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. — and the entrance fee is waved after 3 p.m.

"Lake Perris State Recreation Area is a place that inspires and connects us to nature," California State Parks Inland Empire District Superintendent Kelly Elliott said in a news release. "Help us shape the future of the park by sharing your vision.”
The general plan process is expected to take about three years and will include an environmental impact report to evaluate potential environmental impacts associated with proposed actions, the news release said.
Lake Perris SRA spans more than 8,800 acres where residents and visitors partake in water sports, hiking and more.
