Sydney the happy-go-lucky pitbull is all about joy. She needs a new home
“Happy-go-lucky” is a lovely way to describe Sydney, one of the dogs available for adoption at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter.
Even though she’s been homeless since January, she sees rainbows and buttercups wherever she goes.
Sydney loves life and wants to share that feeling with everyone she meets.
Because of this, she has many dog pals and loves people of all ages.
Sydney is an affectionate girl who’s all about joy. She has no idea she’s remained homeless for all these months for reasons that are out of her control.
Some prospective adopters consider 5-year-old Sydney too old.
Others have a “no pit bull” criteria when looking for a new four-legged family member, so they never have the opportunity to meet Sydney and discover her wonderful temperament.
These are true challenges that have been exacerbated by Sydney not being a good match for cat lovers and having a slight limp due to arthritis.
Fortunately, this doesn’t reduce her joy in going for walks, her thrill at chasing lizards or her happiness at being alive.
Indeed, Sydney doesn’t see any obstacles because she believes every person is her pal and today is fabulous.
To give Sydney a break from kennel life, a volunteer took her into foster care.
While there, Sydney celebrated being a part of a family, showed she had good house manners, and truly loved being around children.
Sydney’s waiting for the next happy adventure to begin. She just needs someone with a big heart and open mind to welcome her home.
