Looking for a gentle pet? These 7 senior kitties need new homes

Cat aficionados know each feline life stage is to be treasured, with senior kitties holding a special place in our hearts.

Currently, there are seven charming mature cats waiting to be adopted at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Services shelter in San Luis Obispo.

To help these and other shelter animals find homes, adoption fees are half-off.

Eddie Munchester became homeless when his owners moved. This stocky 10-year-old tabby appreciates human attention, including brushing.

Twelve-year-old Maxine’s a calm orange tabby lap-cat who longs for a home.

Extremely sweet Samari’s a high-social 7-year-old Siamese kitty who’s recovering from neglect.

Patches’ owner died, and now this 10-year-old polydactyl sweetheart’s longing for love.

Tiger’s a sweet, friendly 13-year-old kitty whose owner also died. He needs medication for hyperthyroid, which he happily takes with pill pockets.

Ten-year-old Moby was a stray whose long fur was matted and filled with foxtails. Now comfortable in his new buzzcut, this social boy’s waiting for a loving home.

Nine-year-old Tommy’s a couch potato who’s not one to seek out adventure, yet found himself trapped in a storm drain for five days.

Thankfully, caring people discovered his plight, then worked tirelessly to rescue Tommy. Finally, an Animal Services field officer was able to pull Tommy to safety.

Tommy, like all our mature kitties, is a gentle soul who longs for nothing more than to be someone’s loving feline treasure.
