Bruno the sweet senior dog was rescued after his owner died. Now he needs a new home
Bruno the senior dog couldn’t have guessed the changes that were coming down the pike.
Life was good. He had his person and a little dog pal, and that was how it was going to be forever.
Unfortunately, forever doesn’t always last, and when Bruno’s owner died, Bruno’s world fell apart.
He and his canine pal would have fallen much further if Meade Canine Rescue & Sanctuary in Creston hadn’t stepped in and provided for these now homeless dogs.
Eleven-year-old Bruno resolved to roll with the punches. Even though the small dog he came in with found a new home
This lanky, approximately 50-pound dog, an Ibizan hound-visla mix, is a good boy who knows his basic commands and wants to please. His smile is infectious.
Even though the small dog he came in with found a new home, Bruno has adjusted from his simple apartment life to living large with a multitude of mostly small, predominantly senior dogs.
Bruno mingles easily with all the other homeless dogs at the rescue, especially the little ones, and has been fine with the few other large Meade dogs. In new places, and on leash, his uncertainty returns and he may bark at unfamiliar large dogs.
Bruno is a loyal and friendly boy who longs for a simple home.
With a kind and consistent owner or family, Bruno will regain his confidence, develop new security and discover he’s both safe and loved.
Please contact Charlotte at 805-239-4004 or 4dots@att.net to learn more about Bruno. He’s looking for love and a chance to prove himself to be your most devoted friend.
