However, as evidenced by one lucky orange cat on social media, there's a better way to manage it!
Over on TikTok, @magnus_the_orange recently shared King Magnus' impressive litter box room. It's so ornate and luxurious, it's honestly nicer than most human bathrooms.

Tips for Hiding a Litter Box in Style
All joking aside, there's a lot you can do as a cat owner to make the litter box situation in your home a little more pleasant to deal with.
Repurposing furniture like a credenza or a TV stand can help hide the litter box if it needs to be in an actual room.
Another simple way to hide a litter box can be room dividers or tall plants; just make sure the plants are cat safe! Curtains or upcycled materials can also help obscure the litter box in your room.
Additionally, wherever you end up placing the box can have different odor eliminators near it so as to help keeping the area smelling fresh.
Here are some tips to keep in mind, no matter your plan for your cat's bathroom space:
- Make sure your cat can move around freely and do a 90-degree turn in their box.
- Add mats and other coverings in the area to help with mess.
- Ensure adequate airflow and ventilation for smell and odors.
- Keep enzymatic spray on hand.
At the end of the day - whether it is a full room or a simple DIY - however you choose to upgrade this necessity is up to you. But portraits definitely add some flair to the space, just sayin'.
