If you watch a lot of animal videos on social media, you've probably seen people trying to befriend crows. And there's a good reason for it; crows are known for forming bonds with humans and have even been known to leave gifts like buttons, paper clips, and other small treasures for their favorite people.

TikToker Rachael (@pdxdinorama) may have found the secret to winning their hearts. After setting up a backyard "crow bar" stocked with treats and fresh water, she soon had a steady stream of feathered visitors, and the crows seemed absolutely thrilled with their new hangout. The biggest question viewers have about the setup is how she keeps the squirrels from raiding it, but judging by the video, the crows don't leave much behind. They seem to swoop in and clean out the buffet before the squirrels even get a chance.

Replying to @Lauren McNames How I keep the squirrels away: I only put food out when the crows ask for it. They're quick to clean out the Crow Bar and by the time the squirrels come through there's no food to be had. I do have something coming for the squirrels though + a Crow Bar update. Stay tuned! Let me know if you have other questions about the Crow Bar or how I befriended them!

Like us, commenters loved watching the crows enjoy their hangout. @Jaq wondered, "I've just befriended two crows. Do you offer franchising?!"

Commenter @Bre was thinking the same thing. "Also, you seem to have so much whimsy near you. Do you create it all? Are you contagious? May I have some?"

@Mother of Crows shared, "When I switched from expensive peanuts to crappy cat kibble, they left me a tiny bouquet of flowers."

That's worth trying out!
