Cat on Morning Bird Watch Duty Has Dramatic Reaction to Dad's Interruption

Cats are notorious for having a variety of moods that can change in an instant, and honestly, that's why we love them. Some are sugary sweet, others are full-on Sour Patch Kids, but the majority have the ability to swing from one emotion to another in the blink of an eye. It's never clearer than when you interrupt them doing something they'd rather do alone.

Sasha is the queen of this, and even by cat standards, she's a little spicier than most. Her morning bird-watching routine is something she gets amped up about if Dad so much as enters her vicinity-and she's not afraid to scold him when he does!

The moody, dramatic, and sassy kitty doesn't like it when Dad interrupts her hobby. She also loathes it when he showers her with compliments like calling her pretty because it's not going to change her mind. Actually, she really doesn't like much and would prefer if we all see ourselves out (side note: I'm starting to think I'm Sasha).

Two things can be true at once: Sasha is very pretty, even if hearing it makes her rage. Sure, it's a bonkers reaction, but that's her prerogative. And Dad's audacity-while she's clearly busy and hasn't had her coffee yet-also makes her rage. She's a simple girl with big, spicy feelings, and she wants to rage and watch birds in peace and nothing else (also relatable)!

Hundreds of @brblegday's fans also felt very seen. Sasha's hissy greeting is something many of us would like to do (or do already)! But don't worry about this seemingly unhappy girl because even with all that attitude, she's very loved-and angry about it all!

After further investigation, Dad isn't Sasha's "primary servant," which explains a lot. He's the spare human, so he hasn't earned any purrs or biscuit-making moments. Here's proof that the annoyed catcan be sweet if she really wants to be:

The Real Reason Cats Hiss-And It's Not What You Think

Believe it or not, cats don't always hiss as an act of aggression. If they're interrupted while doing something that takes concentration, a hiss is their natural defense as a way of saying they feel annoyed, threatened, or need space. Fear and stress can be a part of it, but not necessarily.

As Dr. Jo Cornet, DVM, tells PetMD, hissing is a normal part of feline behavior but may take some investigation to rule out pain or illness. Most of the time, this little warning is them saying "back off," and in Sasha's case, we hear her loud and clear!
