Feral cats do not get enough love. While they can be dangerous at times, and approaching them should only be done by people with experience (for everyone's safety), these cats deserve happy, healthy lives just like any other cat in the world!

One feral cat was going to find a way to have the happy life she wanted, no matter what. She was picked up by a kind community worker volunteering with a TNVR program... Only the "R" part was really not her jam:

Angela has dealt with a lot of feral cats in her time, but this particular case was a rarity. Most of the time, these cats can't wait to get back to their lives on the streets. They're not used to life with humans. They don't want to be with us.

When it came to this cat, though, things were a lot different. She just wouldn't quit, even after her meds had worn off. It was time for her to go home, or back to the lack thereof, but she just... Couldn't. She didn't want to leave her favorite human behind.

What was Angela supposed to do, just shove this sweet baby back out into the wild, kicking and screaming? No way! Naturally, she decided to keep this sweet girl safe in the way that's most comfortable for her. She's chilling in the backyard:

I really like that she's not forcing the cat to come inside before she's ready. She keeps her in her yard, so she can feed and care for her, and so far, the kitty has stayed put! Eventually, she might come inside, but it's not time for that just yet.

TNVR Is Life-Saving For Cats

TNVR stands for Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Release (or Return, depending on who you ask). The last part is the one the cat in these videos wasn't fond of. She's a lady in love! She doesn't want to go back out on the street!

There are organizations all over the world that focus on TNVR, and for good reason. It's unrealistic to think you could find a home (or even shelter space) for every feral cat, but TNVR helps:

  • Prevent pregnancy and population growth.
  • Quell aggression, since neutered cats are often a little more docile.
  • Stop the spread of diseases.

Most of the time, it goes very smoothly. This time, though... Not so much. That's her cat now!
