Classic bouquets are getting more personal and unique as brides ditch traditional florals for alternatives "that feel like wearable art," Pinterest says. Expect eye-catching arrangements (like bedazzled flowers and bouquet purses) to make their way down the aisle as picks that give off personality and play around with material, shape and texture rise in popularity.

Sensory Styling

Bouquets aren't the only thing getting a flower upgrade. Couples are also leaning into sensory styling with flower bars, herbs and citrus transforming wedding decor "into something guests can see, smell and interact with," Pinterest says. In fact, the platform found searches for "flower bar set up" surged by nearly 900 percent and flower installations increased by nearly 200 percent.

Analog Activities and Keepsakes

More and more people have been looking for tangible ways to reclaim time from screens this year, leading to a revival in analog hobbies, so it's no surprise the trend has made its way into the wedding sphere too. Offline entertainment, interaction without screens and keepsakes guests are able to take home are all on the rise-with ideas like match boxes, wedding coloring books, playing cards and overall unique wedding activities trending.

Alt-Bride Styling

Bouquets aren't the only detail leaning into an alt twist. Brides are favoring dramatic styling and accessories that make a statement over traditional touches. "Think soft-but-sharp contrasts, unexpected details, vintage touches with a vibe that feels styled, not staged," Pinterest says.

Cakes With Personality

2026 has undeniably been the year of whimsy, and wedding cakes are reflecting the aesthetic with playful and nostalgic designs. From vintage color palettes to desserts doubling as edible art, quirky wedding cakes are standing out with taste and personality.
