Mom Finds Orange Cat in a Place That Should Have Been Off-Limits

There are places in your house you assume are safe from cat involvement. Not because you've set rules, but because it just feels like common sense. Like, surely there are lines, right?

Apparently not. Because this is one of those moments where you realize your cat has been operating under a completely different set of expectations this entire time.

Shared by TikTok user @chunky.chucky1, the video shows a moment that starts with a simple question and ends with a full life reevaluation. In the voiceover, Mom says, "I'd like to know if anyone else has a cat that does this?" and then opens the toilet lid to reveal her Orange Cat, Chucky, just… sitting in there like it's a completely normal choice.

You can hear the immediate sigh followed by, "Chucky, you have a water fountain," which honestly makes it worse.

Naturally, the commenters understood exactly what was happening here:

• "Vet here! diagnosis is orange."

• "He's washin' him and his clothes."

• "No, but mine waits in the bathtub for someone to turn the water on for her."

• "This is TOO orange for me,"

• "This is extremely Orange Cat behavior."

• "Imagine having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and you're half asleep…"

• "Few things surprise me as a cat parent. This surprised me."

And that last one really says it all.

Because once you've lived with cats long enough, you think you've seen everything. And then one of them casually chooses the toilet as a lounge spot and resets your expectations.

I have two orange boys, so this doesn't surprise me. Mine just have yet to use our toilet bowl as a swimming pool. Notice I said yet.

Here's How He Gets Into the Toilet

• Nudges the lid up (because of course he can)

• Balances like this is an Olympic event

• Climbs in with full confidence and zero hesitation

• Sits there like he pays the water bill

It's not a mistake. It's a lifestyle.

Here's Why Some Cats Love Water

Not all kitties hate water. Some of them are just… weirdly drawn to it.

Running or fresh water is more interesting than still water.

• Sinks, tubs, and yes, toilets can feel cooler and refreshing.

• Some cats like the sound and movement of water.

• Curiosity is doing a lot of the work here.

Orange Cats, specifically, seem to operate on their own set of rules.

So while most cats are avoiding baths at all costs…

Chucky is out here making different choices.

And honestly, you just have to respect the confidence.
