Gray-and-White Cat Literally Climbs the Ceiling Like Spider-Man

You expect a cat to do a lot of things. Climbing onto counters, sure. Launching off furniture at random, absolutely.

Climbing the walls and hanging upside down from a doorframe like Spider-Man wasn't on the list.

TikTok user @theclustercluckfarm shared a clip of a gray-and-white cat absolutely defying gravity the second the shower turns on. The caption says, "Every time I turn the shower on, she goes psycho and climbs the walls," which somehow still doesn't fully prepare you.

In the video, she's gripping the doorframe, climbing upward, flipping upside down, and just… hanging there like this is a totally normal life choice.

Naturally, People in the Comments Had Thoughts:

• "Now that's some impressive core strength."

• "I am the night. I am Catman."

• "Spider Cat, Spider Cat, does whatever a spider cat does."

• "Needs to drop her workout routine for real."

• "The floor is lava level extreme."

• "I have seen a lot of cats do a lot of different things; this has never been one of them."

Honestly, same.

There's something about the commitment that makes it even funnier. This isn't a slip or a jump gone wrong. This is a full decision to become a ceiling creature.

My Maine Coon, Meatball, could absolutely never. He would look at the wall, consider it briefly, and then lie down like, "That seems unnecessary." He's simply too chonky for ceiling ambitions, and I respect that journey.

Why Do Cats Love Being Up High?

@thecommmonkitties

Why do cats love being so high up? According to animal behaviour experts, most cats prefer to sleep and hang out in places with good vantage points. It comes from their instinct to protect their themselves, and a high position for sleeping or resting gives them an aerial advantage for spotting any potential dangers around them.

More Passion, More Energy - WasteLand

Cats being obsessed with height is actually very on-brand… even if most of them stop short of becoming Spider-Cat.

• High places make cats feel safe since they can see everything happening below them.

• It gives them a better vantage point for "hunting," even if that just means watching you open a snack.

Climbing and jumping are natural instincts that help them burn energy.

• Being up high lets them avoid other pets or chaos happening at ground level.

• Some kitties just genuinely enjoy testing their physical limits (apparently to this extent).

Vertical space is basically enrichment, which is why cat trees and shelves are so popular.

So while most cats settle for shelves or the tops of fridges… every once in a while, you get one who says, "No thanks, I'll take the ceiling."

And honestly, you kind of have to admire the confidence.
