This iconic ‘ultra-luxury’ SC waterfront estate with a movie theater just sold for $2M. Take a look
The only thing that doesn’t appear to come with this nearly $2 million home is popcorn.
An “ultra-luxury” home in northeast Columbia, complete with its own movie theater, has sold for $1.96 million, sale broker Yip Premier Real Estate LLC announced on Monday. The 9,000 square-foot home at 8 Beaver Ridge Court, Elgin, S.C., is also the most expensive home to be re-sold in the upscale Woodcreek Farms subdivision since 2010, according to Columbia Consolidated Multiple Listing data.
“It was an honor to represent Woodcreek Estate, as this is an iconic property within Woodcreek Farms that is well known to many,” Karen Yip, president and CEO of Yip Premier Real Estate LLC, said in a press release. “The quality of construction, detailing and architectural design showcases the caliber of homes that ultra luxury buyers are seeking in today’s market.”
Built in 2007, this three-story, Greek Revival-inspired home sits on a nearly two-acre lot on Coopers lake, complete with 200 feet of shoreline, a private dock and outdoor kitchen.
Inside is a private movie theater room, which includes plush, reclining seats and a large screen.
But that’s not all. The home has six bedrooms, 10 baths and features dual master suites, a five-car garage, multiple fireplaces, several porches and an elevator. There’s also a saltwater swimming pool.
Inside, visitors will find 8-foot interior doors, high ceilings, multi-piece crafted custom mill work, marble, finished hardwood flooring and ornate iron railings. There’s also floor-to-ceiling palladia windows for wonderful viewing of the waterfront.
