These are SLO County’s 5 favorite bakeries, readers say. Now which is the very best?
The lure of picking the most popular bakeries in San Luis Obispo County obviously whetted the appetites of The Tribune’s readers in our recent poll.
Our readers rose to the occasion and selected their favorite spots in the first round of the poll, casting more than 10,800 votes.
Now the list of 26 candidates has been narrowed down to five for the final round.
The shops whose sweet and savory treats landed them in the top five spots were:
- Carlock’s Bakery in Los Osos, with 36% of the vote;
- La Parisienne in Morro Bay with 35%
- Bijou Bakery in Cayucos, with 18%
- Bramble Pie Company in Atascadero, with 4%, and
- Just Baked Cake Studio & Bakery in Paso Robles, with 3% of the vote.

Now it’s time to select the bakery grand champion.
Vote for your top bakery as many times as you like through the length of the contest, which ends May 26 at 11:59 p.m.
Results from the final poll will determine which bakery takes home the coveted title of best bakery in SLO County.
