Iration to headline Alta Music Festival in Avila Beach
Reggae-rock band Iration will headline the Alta Music Festival in Avila Beach in October.
The festival will be held Oct. 15 at the Avila Beach Golf Resort.
Other acts scheduled to perform include reggae star Collie Buddz and reggae-rock band Wheeland Brothers.
Also playing are Nahko and Medicine for the People, a world music collective fronted by Nahko Bear, and the reggae hip-hop duo Unified Highway, which features members of Rebelution and Zion I.
Iration plays a mix of reggae, dub and alternative rock. The Santa Barbara-based band is touring in support of its fourth studio album, “Hotting Up,” released in August 2015.
The band has been touring nationally since 2006, and has performed at a variety of music festivals including Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Hangout and Bottlerock, according to the band’s website.
Tickets for the Alta Music Festival cost $39.90 to $124.90.
