Singer-songwriter Nick Waterhouse, reggae star HIRIE and psychedelic soul band Monophonics are among the acts performing this summer at SLO Brewing Co.’s new location in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Talent booker Knitting Factory Presents announced the initial SLO Brew concert lineup on Thursday. More concert announcements will follow, the New York City-based entertainment company said.

SLO Brew is located at 736 Higuera St. around the corner from SLO Brewing Co.’s longtime Garden Street location, which closed in December.

Set to open in June, the gastropub and music venue will hold about 300 people and offer a mezzanine viewing level plus indoor and outdoor dining options.

Kicking off SLO Brew’s summer concert season will be Waterhouse, a Huntington Beach-based guitarist and singer whose sound is rooted in jazz, soul and R&B. He takes the stage June 23.

Hawaiian singer/guitarist HIRIE and her band will perform June 24, while Bay Area band Monophonics plays July 7.

Performing July 20 is singer-songwriter Jade Jackson, who hails from Santa Margarita. She’ll be joined by indie roots rocker Paul Cauthen.

Alternative folk duo HoneyHoney will play July 26. Gospel-infused funk group Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds performs July 27 and Australian-born blues musician CW Stoneking plays Aug. 1.

Ticket prices for the concerts vary from $8 for Stoneking’s show to $15 to $30 for HoneyHoney’s concert.
