Reggae star Ziggy Marley is set to perform this summer in Paso Robles.

The seven-time Grammy Award winner will take the stage Aug. 12 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre, marking the second time he’s played there since 2013. Roots reggae band Steel Pulse will open the show.

The oldest son of reggae icon Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley recorded eight albums with his band The Melody Makers and has released five more as a solo artist, including 2014’s “Fly Rasta.”

His hit songs include “Look Who’s Dancing,” “Tomorrow People” and “Tumbling Down.”

Marley is touring in support of his sixth studio album, “Ziggy Marley,” featuring the single “Weekend’s Long.”

The album is scheduled to be released May 20, but is available for pre-order on iTunes and through Marley’s web store.

“Weekend’s Long” was recently featured on an episode of “Hawaii Five-0,” and is available for immediate download.

Tickets for Marley’s Aug. 12 concert cost $45 in advance or $51 the day of the show, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Vina Robles Amphitheatre is at Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery, 3800 Mill Road. For information, call 227-4812 or visit www.vinaroblesamphitheatre.com.
