Groundbreaking rock band The Go-Go’s will stop in Paso Robles this summer on its farewell tour.

The multiplatinum-selling group is slated to take the stage Aug. 23 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre. Singer-songwriter Kaya Stewart and rock duo Best Coast will open the show.

Known for the hit songs “We Got the Beat” and “Our Lips Are Sealed,” The Go-Go’s were the first all-female rockers writing their own songs and playing their own instruments to have a No. 1 album, 1981’s “Beauty and the Beat.”

The band’s lead singer, Belinda Carlisle, performed in San Luis Obispo in July 2015 as part of Central Coast Pride’s Pride in the Plaza festivities.

Tickets for the Aug. 23 concert are $45 to $65.

Vina Robles Amphitheatre is at Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery, 3800 Mill Road. For information, call 227-4812 or visit www.vinaroblesamphitheatre.com.
