Blues superstar Bonnie Raitt will return to Paso Robles this fall.

The singer-songwriter is slated to perform Sept. 23 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre as part of her Dig In Deep tour. Folk-rock act The Richard Thompson Trio will open the concert.

Known for her sultry vocals, searing slide guitar playing and dedication to social activism, Raitt has won a whopping 10 Grammy Awards over the course of her celebrated career, including a trophy for best Americana album for 2013’s “Slipstream.” Her hits include “Angel from Montgomery,” “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” “Love Me Like a Man” and “Something to Talk About.”

Raitt is touring with bassist James “Hutch” Hutchinson, drummer Ricky Fataar, guitarist George Marinelli and keyboardist Mike Finnigan to promote her latest album, “Dig In Deep,” which was released Feb. 26.

Raitt last played Vina Robles Amphitheatre in 2013. She headlined last year’s Avila Beach Blues Festival.

Tickets for Raitt’s Sept. 23 concert cost $55 to $99.50 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday.

Vina Robles Amphitheatre is at Vina Robles Vineyards & Winery, 3800 Mill Road. For information, call 227-4812 or visit www.vinaroblesamphitheatre.com.
