‘King of the Accordion’ to play Paso Robles

Mexican music superstar Ramón Ayala will perform in Paso Robles this spring.

He’ll take the stage with his band, Los Bravos del Norte, on May 21 at Vina Robles Amphitheatre.

Known as the King of the Accordion, Ayala has had a major influence on modern norteño and conjunto music. Over the past 50 years, he has released more than 100 albums — winning a Grammy Award for best Mexican/Mexican-American album for “En Vivo … El Hombre y Su Música,” as well as multiple Latin Grammys.

Ayala’s hit songs include “Quémame Los Ojos” and “El Numero Cien.”

Tickets for his concert cost $35 to $60.
