Swing revival band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will bring its high-energy sound to San Luis Obispo this spring.

The nine-piece band known for songs including “Go Daddy-O” and “You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)” will perform April 1 at the Fremont Theatre. The concert is being presented by Good Medicine Presents.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, which celebrates its 25th anniversary next year, was at the forefront of the Southern California swing revival movement of the 1990s. In addition to multiple late-night show performances, the group appeared in the 1996 movie “Swingers,” participated in the 1999 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and played the Super Bowl halftime show in 1999.

Locally, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy took the stage at the Performing Arts Center in San Luis Obispo in 2006 and performed in 1999, 2002, 2012 and 2015 at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles.

Tickets for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s April 1 concert cost $27.50 to $38, and go on sale at 11 a.m. Saturday.
