Christmas carols get a choral twist in SLO

The San Luis Obispo Vocal Arts Ensemble put on a concert featuring a 50-person adult choir performing holiday tunes at Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa in San Luis Obispo on Sunday afternoon.

The concert was headed by founder and director Gary Lamprecht, accompanist Barbara Hoff and assistant director Melody Svennungsen. The group is celebrating its 40th year at the mission, which is their favorite place to perform, according to Lamprecht.
