Mid-State Fair

The Mid-State Fair has an exclusive new ticket deal — but for a short time only

As anticipation builds for the upcoming 80th annual California Mid-State Fair this July, eager attendees can start saving money now by taking advantage of a new deal — but it’s only available for a limited time.

Starting Tuesday, the Mid-State Fair is offering buy-one-get-one free season passes to the popular event held at the Paso Robles Event Center, but only if purchased on a Tuesday throughout the rest of the month.

How much and where?

Adult season passes regularly cost $80 each and youth cost $40, according to the event’s website.

But on any given Tuesday in May, tickets labeled “Two-fer Tuesday” will sell two for the price of one. According to the fair’s press release, attendees can purchase multiple sets, but require each pair to be of the same age group.

BOGO sets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster from 4 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., or in person at the Mid-State Fair Box Office located at 2198 Riverside Ave. in Paso Robles from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., both exclusively on any Tuesday in May.

What’s included with a season pass?

Both adult and youth season admission passes allow entry to the California Mid-State Fair during all its 12 days of operation in July.

Admission includes access to free stages that feature all-day live entertainment, alongside various exhibits, demonstrations and daily attractions like community exhibit competitions, as well as livestock and agricultural exhibits — although concerts in the Chumash Grandstand Arena, carnival rides and select special events require a separate ticket.

What to expect at this year’s California Mid-State Fair

In 2026, the California Mid-State Fair runs Wednesday, July 15, through Sunday, July 26, at the Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Ave. in Paso Robles.

The Mid-State Fair celebrates “the region’s rich agricultural heritage and a beloved community tradition,” according to its website.

But now with 80 years under its belt, the fairgrounds will feature special elements in a nod to this year’s theme of “Back to the 80’s.”

Alongside the various carnival rides, food, and vendors, the ground’s Chumash Grandstand Arena, which can hold more than 21,000 concert-goers, is hosting big time country music stars like Grammy Award-winning singer Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson and Old Dominion, among others.
