Santana is coming to the Mid-State Fair for the first time
The latest headliner to join the California Mid-State Fair concert line-up is a 10-time Grammy Award winner with a long list of hits.
Latin blues rock legend Carlos Santana will take the stage at the fair’s Chumash Grandstand Arena on Saturday, July 23, according to a news release from the fair. An opening act has yet to be announced.
Among his accolades, Santana was recognized as one of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” by Rolling Stone magazine and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, the release said.
His hit songs include “Black Magic Woman,” “Evil Ways,” “Oye Como Va” and Smooth.
Other big-name acts performing at the Paso Robles fair this summer include classic rock band Journey, country pop duo Dan + Shay, Hootie and the Blowfish’s Darius Rucker.
This will be Santana’s first appearance at the Mid-State Fair.
Tickets for Santana’s July 23 show cost $40 to $175 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 20, at www.midstatefair.com.
